About
I'm Brady Gotcher and Half Full Designs is the result of an interesting blend of my experiences and interests. I grew up in Texas, but now live in New Mexico in the beautiful Sangre de Cristo Mountains outside of Santa Fe. I have a Biology degree and minor in Anthropology from Sul Ross State University in the Big Bend region of TX. I have been involved in archeology and rock art preservation through the Trans-Pecos region of TX. I worked with the Extension Service involving pests in corn and cotton fields, and the invasive Salt Cedar tree. Then I was a science teacher for 14 years, teaching every science from 6th through 12th grades. My love for Anthropology, Biology, Chemistry, and Physics comes through in everything I do.
All along this journey I have been lucky enough to have my best friend, wife, and high school sweetheart with me. We now have 2 curious boys that occupy much of our time. Despite being busy I continue to draw, paint, sculpt, screen print, make jewelry, and really nerdy/scientific things like soap making, laser cutters, CNC routers, vacuum molds, 3D printing, bread making, brewing, and entomology. At the root of all of this I enjoy giving people new knowledge, experiences, and products. I am a problem solver and maker at heart. Keeping the glass half full (preferably with a good beer or scotch).
